Lost or stolen cards

Your metroCARD balance is protected if you have registered your metroCARD. This means if it’s accidentally lost or stolen you card can be cancelled and the balance transferred to a new metroCARD.

As soon as you discover your metroCARD is missing contact the InfoLine or visit an InfoCentre to cancel your metroCARD.

You can then purchase a new metroCARD at an InfoCentre and our Customer Service Officers can transfer the remaining balance for you at the time of purchase.

Once you have cancelled your metroCARD it cannot be reversed.
